כמו הנביא יונה מאלוהים ברחתי
את עצמי מצאתי, בתוך המצולות
מוצא תצמי רחוק, מוקף במוות ושאול
אך הוא ראה אותי, כי הוא רואה הכל

אליו זעקתי, האם ישמע קולי?
אז ברחמיו ענה לתפילתי
הדג פתח את פיו ,הקיא אותי
כאוד מוצל מאש, הציל את נפשי

הוא מנה את שיערות ראשי
יצר אותי ברא, בתוך בטן אימי
כל מילה ומחשבה שלי הוא תמיד ידע
שום דבר ממנו לא נסתר ולא נחבא

הוא בא להושיע, לא להאשים
בא לי להראות את הדרך לאלוהים
בו יש לי חיים, שמחה ומטרה
הוא היחידי שנותן לי תקווה

לאן אלך מרוחו
ולאן מפניו אברח

הוא בא להושיע, לא להאשים
בא לי להראות את הדרך לאלוהים
בו יש לי חיים, שמחה ומטרה
הוא היחידי שנותן לי תקווה

מבקש את רצונו, אהבתו בוערת בי
מוכן לתת למלכותו כל מה שיש לי
חופשי מאשמה עומד נקי מול הבורא
הדם של השה, מקדש ומטהר אותי

זה לא בזכות כל המעשים שלי
הכל בזכות החסד, של הגואל שלי
לא מסתכל אחורה, ארוץ למטרה
אביט לתוך עיניו הבוערות באהבה

Like Jonah the prophet I ran away from God
I found myself in the shadows
Far away, surrounded by death
Yet He saw me, for He sees all

I cried out, will He hear my voice?
Then with mercy He answered my prayer
The fish opened it's mouth and spat me out
As wood before it's consumed by fire, He saved my soul

He appointed every hair on my head
Created me in my mothers womb
Every word and thought of mine he already knew
Nothing can be hidden from Him

He came to save, not to condemn
To show me the way to God
In Him I have life, joy and purpose
He alone gives me hope

Where shall I go away from His Spirit
And where shall I run away before Him?

Like Jonah the prophet I ran away from God

He came to save, not to condemn
To show me the way to God
In Him I have life, joy and purpose
He alone gives me hope

I seek His will. His love burns inside me
I am willing to give everything for His kingdom
Free of guilt I stand cleansed before my Creator
The Blood of the Lamb sanctifies and purifies me

It's not by my works
It's only by the mercy of my Savior
So I won't look back, I will run towards the goal
And look into His eyes, that burn with love
